Going to the supermarket can be quite a mundane experience for some people, but if you’ve ever been to a huge mall you know that it’s never a dull place. So many incredible characters gather there as if drawn together by some magic.

Our first collection of surreal moments caught at the supermarket gained such a huge response that we felt obliged to create a 2021 update with the most hilarious and bizarre things people have ever seen inside a mall!

As you can imagine, we’ve found gems that we had no idea existed! Most of these people clearly didn’t know they were photographed, which resulted in phenomenal photos you will not see anywhere else. Enjoy.

Something Hairy’s Going on

The longer we look at this photo, the more unbelievable it seems. How is this even possible? Having so much hair on your head should be illegal, seriously.

What hair product is this woman using? Some of us could use a few drops of this magic potion to get our locks growing. And if it’s not actual hair, but a wig, we still can’t fathom who and for what purpose would create something like that.

Well, it is stunning in a way, but we aren’t sure it’s the good kind of stunning that turns heads as you walk down the street looking too gorgeous to be true. It’s the kind of stunning that will make your look go viral, but for all the wrong reasons.

It’s a Different World Out There

We all know that Walmart is one of the most famous supermarket chains in the world. It has all kinds of goods a person can dream of and, well, it’s also the source of the most mysterious sightings and uncanny photos.

Why does this happen? We sincerely have no idea, but Walmart seems to draw weirdos like a magnet. It almost seems like there’s some kind of rift in the time and space continuum, out of which all these Walmartians keep popping out!

Well, whatever the case, if you go shopping at Walmart, prepare your phone camera because you won’t be disappointed. It’s always such an adventure!

A Little Bit Underdressed

When we go to the supermarket we usually don’t think about the way we dress too much – just put on a pair of jeans and a T-shirt, and you’re good to go. But is there, actually, a dress-code for malls?

Looking at these two gorgeous women, we believe there certainly should be some kind of shopping dress-code – like, putting on some clothes, for example? Really, any clothes would do as long as they cover you up.

We aren’t sure what happened to these women that they were going around the supermarket in their underwear, but it does look totally bizarre. What were they thinking? Did they lose some kind of bet? So many questions and so little answers.

Who Needs a Shopping Cart?

This is one of those moments when you think you’ve seen everything there is in the world of weird supermarket moments, but then this photo comes up. How on Earth is this even possible?

Obviously, this lady didn’t want to use a shopping cart, but instead, she decided to use her pet kangaroo. Are those even legal, by the way? Unless this photo was taken in Australia, that would explain a lot.

Well, we don’t envy this pet kangaroo. No matter how you look at it, the poor thing isn’t having too much fun! We are secretly hoping this photo was Photoshopped because those handcuffs are a bit too much.

Fashion trends come and go, but one thing never changes – latex always remains popular! Of course, not all people get it and even fewer people can pull it off, but latex outfits are definitely here to stay.

Most of the time we see women rocking some rad latex outfits, but this is definitely not the case here. This guy looks like he was born wearing pumps and short latex skirts!

You may like this outfit or you may totally hate it, but this doesn’t change the fact that this man looks totally fabulous in his own way. We wouldn’t dare wearing something like this in broad daylight (well, during the night, either), so we can only imagine how much courage it takes to just wear whatever you want no matter what other people might think.

The Future We Don’t Need

Many of you have watched sci-fi TV shows and movies, showing just how amazing our future would be, filled with robots doing all kinds of chores, while humans relax and do more creative stuff.

Well, it seems that the future is here, but it’s not what everyone was expecting to see. This uncanny googley-eyed robot is named Marty and it’s not here just for beauty.

Marty’s one and only purpose in its robotic life is to patrol the isles of the supermarket looking for all kinds of spills. Of course, he then vacuums them away. But are there really that many spills that they had to create this huge weird-looking robot to clean them?

But is this a good kind of attention? Does he really think people would be interested in whatever he does in his bathroom? Ah, we really don’t think so.

Some people dream to have their wedding ceremony at an exquisite chapel, while others plan to have their wedding on a beach, surrounded by palm trees and oceans waves. This couple is definitely of a different kind!

This happy couple might have dreamt of a wedding in a church, but when they found out all their co-workers couldn’t attend due to their busy schedules at Walmart – they decided to have their wedding at the very place they met and fell in love with each other.

Walmart may not seem like the most romantic place, but this couple made it work for them, transforming the Walmart garden into a perfect place for their ceremony. And this way, all their friends and co-workers could attend as well!

Well, we can’t really argue with this definition of the banana, but wouldn’t it be easier just to write ‘bananas’? This is very confusing, to say the least.

Next, they’ll be saying ‘big round stripey things’, ‘round brown things’, and ‘little red triangular thingies’? We believe people have created fruit and vegetable names to avoid confusion like this.

This has happened to all of us one way or another, and it’s not only women who say they’d go shopping and would be back in ‘a few minutes’, which in most cases turns into hours. Guys can be lost in the shopping isles as well!

Whether it’s a sports section, a delightful massage chair, or a whole department of cosmetics, both men and women easily get devoured by the magic of the supermarket. And those left behind can only wait for them for hours and hours…

What happens to them? Who knows. But sometimes when the shoppers do finally come back, all they find is dust in the wind.

This photo is surreal on so many levels. Who would go shopping at a supermarket with a huge owl on a leash? And yes, if you look closely, the owner of this beautiful bird is holding a leash, so the bird doesn’t fly and live a happy life elsewhere.

We’ve heard that there are kiwi birds, but even they don’t look as cute as this small fluffy kiwi that’s being sold at one of the supermarkets. Seriously, can we buy one for ourselves?

This kiwi hamster is a rare beast and it’s hard to spot him in the wild. He spends most of his time hanging out with other kiwis or just hiding in plain sight.

Now we are wondering what happened to this ‘kiwi fruit’ – did someone actually took him home with a bunch of other kiwis? He’s too cute for words!

We haven’t seen many people wear such pirate-style eye patches, but if they are being sold, someone must be wearing them, right? Well, apparently this shop has so many eye patches, that the owners decided to make a sale.

But who would need two eye patches, really? It’s not like you could wear both at the same time (not unless you open your third eye). So who would buy them?

It’s really hard to imagine what type of fish this is and how it differs from plain old boring fish you buy at the supermarket – if only we could see it with our own eyes!

The start of the school year is exciting for both parents and kids – parents have more free time on their hands, while the children get to see all their friends and have fun together.

It’s a big deal for everyone, and supermarkets aren’t an exception as they get to sell lots of school stuff ranging from pens, pencils and notebooks to rucksacks, school boxes, and even school uniforms.

Does this supermarket know something we don’t? Are we actually living in a world with not 7, but 9 days in a week? It seems like something that could easily happen in the Marvel Universe, it almost feels like we’re living in some kind of parallel world.

Well, sometimes it does seem like there are 9 days in a week – very long days that seem to stretch forever. If that’s the case, this supermarket is totally right.

But if our week did have 9 days, we’d like those 2 extra days to be days off, for sure! Isn’t that a cool idea? Finally, enough days to go on a short trip and sleep away all the fatigue that’s been building up during the workweek.

Misanthropy Detected

Wow, someone must really hate people if they’re making a whole sign that lights up during the night like that. And not only that, but the shop owner probably also wants no customers to ever go inside and buy something.

We can relate to disliking humanity a bit (or a lot), but when it comes to business all differences should be put aside. You either treat everyone equally or you’ll lose money and, eventually, your job.

Either way, it’s one of the most hilarious signs we’ve seen lately. We would love to go shopping at Morons just so we could tell our friends about it and have a good laugh together!

We Don’t Even Want To Know

When it comes to Walmartians (the weird and wonderful people of Walmart) everything is possible. You just never know what to expect once you come into this supermarket!

You may be just stopping by to do some grocery shopping or pick up a few cans of soda, but you end up staying there for hours, lost in the timeless realm of Walmart. Its inhabitants are so fascinating that time flies by very quickly and before you know it a few hours have already passed.

Time to Dress Up

if you aren't sure what to put on when going out shopping, then you should just pick the tightest dress from you wardrobe and head out like  that. Kidding!

Although, it does seem that some women treat shopping like some kind of special event that requires wearing a figure-hugging dress and high heels. Does this attire make them feel more confident? We truly don't know.

But what we do know is that you won't be able to walk around for long in high heels like that, especially with a heavy shopping cart loaded with things. So maybe this woman just went shopping to take some photos?

Bears Like Shopping, Too

One simply doesn't expect to see a bear when heading to the nearest convenient store in the area, but this is exactly what happened to the residents of Porter Ranch one Saturday morning.

A few bears were spotted in the neighborhood that day, but only one made it to Ralphs to do some 'grocery shopping'. The animal was chased out of the shop and no one got hurt (including the bear himself).

The police chased the bear outside and called the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to pick him up. The animal got some tranquilizer and was safely transported to a more suitable habitat than human stores and shopping areas.

Cows Running Wild

Stray cows aren't something most of us are used to seeing around, but in Hong Kong it's the most ordinary thing. There are more than 1000 cows living there in the 'wild' and roaming the streets of the city.

Usually it's not that big of a deal, but a few of these city dwellers decided it was time to have a dinner at the 'restaurant', broke into the Fusion store, and treated themselves to some fresh greens and berries.

Needless to say, everyone was startled at first, but then managed to get the cows out of the store peacefully. The owners of the shop believe that this is the result of people feeding cows fruit, as well as the fact that there are less grasslands now for cows to feed compared to previous years.

Worst Manicure Ever

Ah, the people of Walmart... So many things can be said about their sense of style and hygiene, but sometimes one picture is worth a thousand words. Need we say more?

We really have no idea what goes through the heads of people who decide to grow long nails like this. Is this beautiful? No. Is it practical? No.

There really is no reason whatsoever to grow your nails into horrifying claws. Unless, of course, that's the whole point and you just want to go around scaring people.

Graduating School is no Fun at All

We've all been to school and while it's fun for most of the time, it also leaves most people with scars that they drag throughout adulthood and that just never go away.

Graduating ceremony is an amazing experience because, on one hand, it's the end of all the misery, and on the other hand, it's a bittersweet moment when we part with most of our high school friends.

Skateboarding Like a Pro

Skateboarding is as popular now as it was 30 years ago when you could see almost every kid in the hood on a skateboard 24/7.

Skateboarding is fun, it builds up core strength, and it has its own culture and aesthetic that caters both to young people and adults. It's like a way of life! Which means you don't give up on skating simply because you need to enter a shopping mall.

This guy obviously knows how to skateboard and is quite good at it. Frankly speaking, we have no idea how he managed to jump so high and skateboard on top of those shelves! This is quite impressive.

Have you ever seen such a cute shop assistant? We aren't exactly sure what he's doing among all these drinks and cans of juice, but the cat certainly looks lovely while hanging out there!

If the shop wanted to attract all the buyers to a certain spot - that's the way to do it. Maybe they aren't even realizing the power of kitty advertisement, most people don't!

That is, until they see a cute feline somewhere in the isles and suddenly it's everything everyone can think about. We just hope this cat in particular doesn't  feel too cold in that fridge.

Ah, kids these days - they hate doing shopping just like 10, 20, or 30 years ago. This just isn't their definition of fun! Unless, of course, they have a chance to throw a tantrum - then it's a whole different matter.

Otherwise, they'd rather spend time playing games or chatting on their mobile phones than take part in grocery shopping. Well, some of you can probably relate to that as well.

This mom had to take her three kids shopping with her, but instead of letting them roam around freely she decided it would be safer to pack them into a shopping cart and just roll like that. We can't say it's an awful idea, but it does look quite bizarre!
